Krista and I went to the zoo last week, it was pretty awesome :) We took some sketchbooks and I had my nice camera with me. This is her next to her favorite animal, which I SWEAR is never out when I’m at the zoo… go figure it’s out the one day she comes with me :P So, Krista and a snow leopard for ya :)

AnonymousJordan’s father isn’t in the picture, nor is there any real intent for him ever being there. I can let her talk about that if she wants to later, but it is a touchy subject, so please be respectful if you’re curious.
My father, however, is kind of an enigma at points to me. My mom is /always/ saying, “…and I’m sure your father would agree with me.” But I very rarely am able to hear is own opinion from his own words and mouth, so it’s hard to believe sometimes. My dad is away 4 of the 7 nights of the week, so it’s a bit difficult to nab a time for him to talk.
But! Back in March, during a small episode I was having with the struggle of my sexual orientation and all that, I called him up late at night after work and flat-out asked him what he thought. And he basically just said, “Well, I definitely tolerate it. I tolerate it much better than your mother or grandmother do. They’ve got the religion with them. I wouldn’t say I /approve/… but I tolerate it. It’s just awkward sometimes, no one knows what to say or how to act.”
I can talk to him about my plans with Jordan a little easier than I can with my mom, just because I know my dad passes judgement based on logic and reason, and my mom… not as much. It’s still difficult here and there, but he’s pretty cool most of the time.
I love both of my parents very much, and I know for a sure fact they love me, but there definitely are those conflicts that come with… me being me. xD We’re all working through it though. :)
